October passed quickly for us. Early in the month, Guta traveled on a 10-day mission trip to the state of Bahia, where she had the opportunity to speak in three different places. She shared God’s Word four times — twice to a church congregation, once to a gathering of pastors’ wives, and once in another local church. In every place, the people were deeply encouraged by the lessons she brought.
We were also blessed to host a single missionary woman, Raquel, for three days. It was a sweet time of fellowship and refreshment. Shortly after Raquel left, Guta received word that our niece Juliana was in critical condition after a surgical complication. Once again, she boarded a bus for São Paulo to be with her sister and mother. The doctors placed Juliana in a coma to preserve her life. She was born blind and has faced many health challenges over the years. Covid damaged her kidneys, and she now requires dialysis. In January, a severe illness required strong medication that saved her life but cost her hearing. Her mother is the only one who can communicate with her. Please keep Juliana in your prayers — she is 34 years old and very dear to us.
Here at home, I’ve been finishing several projects on the house, as well as repairing and repainting the swimming pool. It is now being refilled with fresh mountain spring water.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.
